The night was quiet.
The air was calm, and all of it gently placed a sense of urgency on his shoulders.
[ ]
Ellis mashed the ON button, and the bike moaned in its reverberation. It was now that he finally began to feel nervous. The sound reminded him of the journey ahead.
[ ]
Ellis looked back at his father and wife giving them a confident nod.
He knew what had to be done.
His eyes looked forward and felt the bike’s vibration through the handle bars. The throttle was twisted and the bike quietly blasted off into the night.

…Time passes on his 4 hour ride....
[ ]
The time is now 4:45 a.m. – Still one and a half hours from the city.
[ ]
Ellis sharply turns down a grassy road off the highways. He can see the sun is eager to show itself.
He waits seven minutes and returns to the road.
A heads up display shines through his visor with a call from the city. “Ellis? Can you hear me?”
Ellis replies, “Yes loud and clear. A beautiful day is it not?”
“…the day hasn't started yet…has it?” The man replies.
Ellis smiles and tells his friend he will be there in 58 minutes.
All he feels is calm. Confident in his cause, love in his heart, and pride in his mind…Ellis can feel his pistol on the side of his leg and the silencer pressing into his thigh. A cold steel blade presses down on his back which gives him a sense of security…
He fears nothing.
